Greetings to you all!!

If you’re here I’m sure you’re here to read about and probably check out some pics of Alexander Skarsgård!!  Am I right?  Thought so!

And I’m most positive that you probably didn’t come here just to know more about me- after all that’s not my name up there!!

But I’ll go ahead and tell you a little bit about myself anyways since I do like to get chatty!   Don’t get bummed.  I won’t keep you too long!  I know there are more interesting things you’d rather be reading!

I’ve been a fan of Alex’s work for a very long time.  His earlier American stuff is silly fun.  His breakout American role was Generation Kill.  I was blown away by his portrayal of Sgt. Brad Colbert on HBO’s Generation Kill!  His performance was quite amazing!  If you have not seen this mini-series yet you simple MUST!!  And I highly recommend reading Evan Wright’s book by the same name.  This series is based directly from that book!  Excellent excellent book!  Try it on audiobook as well.  It’s awesome!

Imagine how happy I was to hear that Alex would be starring in the hot new vampire series True Blood on HBO!! Being from New Orleans I grew up on Anne Rice’s vamp crew and  I’m also a HUGE fan of Charlaine Harris’ Southern Vampire Mysteries. True Blood is based on those books!  And of course Alexander plays Eric Northman (my favorite male character) in the series.

Eric wasn’t really a big presence in season one.  He was only in a few episodes and we really didn’t get to see Alex stretch his wings with the character then.  But season two is really showing us just how much talent Alex has and how much life he’s bringing to the character of Eric Northman!  His performances in season two are top notch.  Again, being a big fan of  the books it’s fun to see Alex growing into this  character!  Eric Northman is like no other and Alex is right on target with his portrayal of the Viking Vampire!

I’ve watched a handful of his Swedish works and I’m on a quest to find all of them.  It’s a bit difficult with the DVD region differences and of course if there aren’t any subs I’m lost since I don’t speak more than an ounce worth of Swedish (which I hope to remedy soon- Tack Rosetta Stone Svenska!).

So with that being said, I highly recommend watching his Swedish flicks if you ever get the chance!  From what I’ve viewed so far they are excellent and I really won’t be satisfied until I’ve seen them all!  Om Sara and Hundtricket are both excellent and really show different sides of Alex as an actor!  Be sure you have the tissue ready if you watch Om Sara.

I have to let you all know that True Blood is a fantastic series and Alex is totally rockin’ the role as Eric but I have to say that I don’t think that it’s his ultimate role.  Now don’t grab those stakes just yet.  Please view his other works and form your own opinions.  He’s so much more than True Blood!  Trust me!

It will be fabulous here once the curtains come up and the floors are finished!  It’s going to take forever to finish hanging all the pics though!  Don’t think I’ll ever finish that task!!

Also, I hope to have all of the Swedish articles I come across translated and up as soon as possible.  Like I mentioned above I’m learning language so I’m still a bit slow and unfortunately rely heavily on the damn Google Translator!

I also know there’s quite a lot of Swedish followers here so I plan on having the Swedish articles in their original language up here for you as well!
